Compulsory purchase of land at Tinkers Green estate

Notice is hereby given that Tamworth Borough Council (“the Council”) has made The Tamworth Borough Council (Tinkers Green Estate Tamworth) Compulsory Purchase Order 2015 under section 17 of the Housing Act 1985. It is about to submit this order to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for confirmation, and if confirmed, the order will authorise the Council to purchase compulsorily the land described in the documents below for the purpose of the provision of housing accommodation and ancillary development on the land and other land on the Tinkers Green Estate Tamworth in accordance with the provisions of Part II of the Housing Act 1985

A copy of the order and of the accompanying map may be viewed below and hard copies can be seen at all reasonable hours at the offices of Tamworth Borough Council, Marmion House, Lichfield Street Tamworth  B79 7BZ and at Wilnecote Library Tinkers Green Road Tamworth Staffordshire B77 5LF  (during usual opening hours).

Any objection to the order must be made in writing to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, National Planning Casework Unit, 5 St Philips Place, Colmore Row, Birmingham, B3 2PW before 17th September 2015 and should state the title of the order, the grounds of objection and the objector’s address and interest in the land.
